Meet the Publican: Julie
This week on the yellow couch… we’re getting an in-depth look at the life of our Creative Specialist, Julie. Sure, she’s a talented designer, but what does she think of pineapples? We sat down with her to find out what she’s all about.
1. What’s something weird about you?
I don’t like pineapples, but I love them on pizza. I don’t like peanut butter, but I love this filipino dish that has peanut butter as the sauce called kare kare.
2. What Harry Potter house would you be placed in?
I would love to say I’m Gryffindor but I think I identify more as Ravenclaw. They value intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit.
3. What did you want to be when you were little?
Surprisingly, I wanted to be a doctor. Then I found out science was not my best subject and I hated the sight of blood, so that dream ended even before it started.
4. What social impact issue means a lot to you?
The environment and education. My heart aches when I see people treating our planet like it’s garbage as well as when I see kids who have to work because they can’t afford education.
5. What’s your favourite thing about working at PUBLIC?
There’s no doubt that the publicans are my favorite thing. They are a bunch of hardworking, loving, caring, hilarious individuals that I am so happy to be surrounded by each and every day.
