The Challenge
For Canadians, cancer patients, survivors and families, the journey to end the suffering cancer causes can feel never ending. That’s why the Terry Fox Foundation tasked Public with developing an annual fundraising campaign that would launch on Giving Tuesday and continue throughout the holiday season. This campaign tapped into Terry Fox’s spirit, legacy and audience nostalgia in order to combat audiences’ sense of inertia.


The Approach

In collaboration with the client, we produced Give Your All, a holiday campaign encouraging donors to give their all to help cancer researchers & patients this holiday season, just like Terry did. 

When Terry Fox ran his Marathon of Hope, he gave his all for cancer research. He ran a full marathon—close to 42 kilometers—every day. For 143 days. And each day he gave it his all. He gave his all because he understood the suffering cancer causes. And Terry truly believed that if we all come together, and if we each give our all, we can one day put an end to the suffering. And this legacy has since inspired generations to give their all ever since. 

The hope is that people across Canada feel Terry’s spirit during the holiday season and donate to help fund cancer research. 

For this campaign Public produced a full suite of assets including: website copy & design; email newsletters; direct mail packages; social paid ads; social organic posts; radio etc.


The Impact
The campaign ran during the 2022 holiday season, helping the Terry Fox Foundation raise nearly 1 million dollars to help fund cancer research.
