In these unprecedented times, as we all struggle to do what’s best to “flatten the curve” of the Coronavirus, it’s natural to feel nervous, concerned, and even a little despondent.
But having a glass-half-full mentality (thanks mom), I have always felt that taking a positive approach and looking for the silver lining during challenging times has served me well.
So what is the silver lining with this pandemic? The reminder that thoughtful, personal, and collective actions move the world forward.
Looking out for others and doing what you can to make a difference will eventually bring this pandemic to a close. And there are so many great examples of this: from Postmates’ Fleet Relief Fund, to LVMH using its factory to produce hand sanitizer, to companies like Rogers and Comcast offering customers unlimited internet access and providing internet to those without.
As we work remotely, we continue to provide the same level of service and dedication to all our clients and are inspired by both our clients and our team to think about even more ways to support our clients’ efforts to help others during these challenging times. So please, don’t hesitate to let us know what more we can do.
In the spirit of supporting collective action, we will be sharing updates on what companies are doing to help flatten COVID-19 and invite social impact leaders to join us in bi-weekly calls to share information, learnings, and initiatives. If you would like to join us, please let me know.
Stay healthy and safe in these trying times and remember, as Henry David Thoreau once wrote, “Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
Sincerely,
